SteelKing728
Phillips was probably always the front runner. I guess the Rams go with either Thomas Brown or Zac Robinson at this point.

Yeah, who I thought it'd be within a day of O'connell being named the future HC.

It was only reinforced by the tweets of his father.

vike daddy
Daniels has spent the last four seasons working alongside special teams coordinator John Fassel. Daniels was the assistant special teams coach for the Rams from 2018-2019. He then went with Fassel to Dallas and held the same position with the Cowboys for the last two seasons. Fassel had coached Daniels for three seasons with the Rams from 2012-2014. Daniels appeared in seven career games, mainly playing on special teams. Though O’Connell and Daniels were both a part of head coach Sean McVay’s staff in Los Angeles, the two men did not quite cross over. O’Connell was hired as offensive coordinator in 2020, the same year Daniels left for the Cowboys. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/02/21/vikings-hiring-matt-daniels-as-special-teams-coordinator/

gopherwrestler
From John Fassel's WikiOn February 1, 2012, the St. Louis Rams announced the hiring of Fassel as their special teams coordinator.[3] Fassel took a lead role in developing the talents of kicker Greg Zuerlein, punter and holder Johnny Hekker and long snapper Jake McQuaide. Together, Zuerlein, Hekker, and McQuaide have combined for seven Pro Bowl appearances and remained together as a unit for seven seasons going into the 2019 season. Under Fassel's guidance, Rams players earned NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors 15 times. On December 12, 2016, Fassel was announced as the interim head coach for the Los Angeles Rams, after the firing of Jeff Fisher.[4] On January 13, 2017, the day after being hired, new head coach Sean McVay invited Fassel to remain on the Rams coaching staff Hopefully this Yute can take after him and can help out our Kickers and Punters, heck even a long snapper.
