vike daddy
Greg Joseph lined up on the flowing hair of the midfield Norseman logo, took a breath and met the ball at the back of the Norseman's braid, painted white instead of blond for Minnesota's first Winter Whiteout game. Off it went, 61 yards and through the uprights with room to spare. The kick which smashed a Vikings franchise record of 56 yards that Joseph tied in Week 1 gave the Vikings a 27-24 victory over the Giants on Saturday at U.S. Bank Stadium, capping yet another wild finish for a Minnesota squad that improved to 12-3. https://www.vikings.com/news/game-observations-joseph-from-norseman-braid-27-24-win-vs-giants?fbclid=IwAR2FVnqMtgdvqjGStpQPbsaTIDyzcgmqEIfe2kCvP-XFT47kflTSt5BgkxM
vike daddy
Special teams players of the week Greg Joseph, kicker, Minnesota. Kick a game-winning 61-yard field goal at the gun to beat the Giants 27-24 and get your team to 12-3, win Special Teams Player of the Week. Hitting all 19 of your field goals inside the 50- for the season is a nice consolation prize too. Peter King
vike daddy
is that true? Joseph hasn't missed a fg inside of 50 yards this year? if so, wow.

wcblack34
The bigger concern has been his missed XPs, I think. At least that’s what fans remember. And that’s somewhat justified. You expect those. Fifty yarders aren’t gimmes by any means tho. But we Vikings fans have been conditioned to never trust a kicker…

vike daddy
For the record, Greg Joseph has converted 20 straight attempts. His 61-yarder bested his personal record and the team mark by 5 yards and probably would have been good from 65. Another clutch performance, another cardiac finish and another dogpile at midfield as the Vikings continue to find storybook ways to win despite their best efforts to lose. To even attempt a 61-yarder and stretch Joseph’s range beyond rational thinking shows there is no shortage of golden horse shoes ringing around this team’s neck. Joseph: “I appreciate the trust and confidence that coach has to put me out there. Awesome team win, and another Vikings W.” https://www.si.com/fannation/bringmethesports/vikings/brian-murphy-you-know-its-different-when-the-kicker-is-thriving?fbclid=IwAR0x0EtJWf6rBnCJkIwW6Lj-WHDbKoAF0yroOdp4Inw3LDzSTuekeJvsvlc
