Everybody keeps saying GB downplays or undervalues the position - but having an impact ILB or two CHANGES the way a D plays. There's a big difference between "commit significant resources in terms of cap space or draft capital to go get an ILB that you hope will can a good player for you" and "spending on a guy you know can be a good player because you've seen him do it." It's possible the Packers never paid an ILB all these years because they didn't have one fall into their laps.
fistfullofbeer
I am just relieved we were able to re-sign Campbell.

Right - or they never recognized the skill in a younger player and went and got him.

I mean they gave it a good run in the draft. It was like the Bears trying to draft a QB.

Well, it is a distracting and maybe fun game to play to look back at the past drafts and try to spot a linebacker the Packers could have picked who was both -Good -A better choice than who the Packers took. Like you could say they should have taken Patrick Queen over Jordan Love, but Patrick Queen has not played well at all.

Leader
I'm not looking back or know what the issue is with GB & ILB's - just know they need a dynamic play maker in the middle. They (and most teams) are better when they have one.
Arthur Penske
Whether you like what GB has done in free agency or not this is great
packfanfb
Can't imagine Adams would be that concerned over the "structure" of the deal unless this pertains to the amount of guaranteed money. As for length, I'm sure the Packers are looking to tie Adams to Rodgers so they probably have offered 3-year deal. Adams might be looking for more years so he's not looking for a new deal in his 30s. Arthur Penske
Nice that Tampa lost Whitehead to the AFC.
