I'm more than fine with it

Yeah. My only hold up is punting is only half of Huber's job. Holding is just as, if not more important.  The Harris/Huber combo is excellent. In reality though, I think Chrisman has been kept around for a reason,  so Huber is more than likely done.

I know that kid is the twitter favorite for us. I do think the importance of a holder is so unnoticed. I do think they like Chrisman so I don't know if they draft a guy. I would assume they sign Huber and let him camp battle for the job.

It's me, i'll be backing up Jonah this year.  Doesn't every team want a 41 year old 250 lb LT who hasn't played since high school?  Or at least i'll fill in around my bantam football coaching schedule.

what do y’all think about this? (the numbers i wrote in are the consensus avg big board rankings from multiple draft analysts)

its annoying how i can’t post a picture in here

I could live with it, but can't see who else was available at those spots to truly judge it.  Going McBride definitely changes things up and you nailed the Winfrey pick.

yea i went into it with the mentality of doubling and tripling up since the bengals love doing that. they’ve at least doubled up twice at positions 7 out of the last 10 drafts and they’ve tripled up 3 times in the last 2 years (counting IOL together)

i feel like CB and TE are the most likely positions that they’d double up on this year

Definitely CB.  With Sample and Hurst, I don't see TE getting two picks unless they are like 4th and 5th round picks or something.  Far more likely that they would go two deep at WR.  They have their top 3, but no 4th guy, and a bunch of back end roster guys who fill roles.  They could go a 4th guy (taller guy...think Alec Pierce type of player) and a fifth guy who returns and plays the slot (a la Calvin Austin)

in 2023, the bengals don’t have a TE on the roster currently. as for hurst and sample, those are two guys who you shouldn’t mind upgrading over

the rounds are fair, they tend to go 3rd and 5th when they double up.

I could definitely see an early TE, but Hurst and Sample are both pretty close to locks on the roster, so add in a first and it feels like a pick for the practice squad if you draft a second one. However, if they don't draft early at TE, then double dipping two guys in 4 to 7 to compete for a roster spot makes sense.

I like both corners you grabbed and where you did. I actually like it pretty well overall,  just not sure I'd take McBride at that spot. He's still a good long term player for us though.

this is a good point. also, thad moss seems like a virtual lock for the practice squad given his friendship with burrow. we’ve seen teams keep guys on the backend of the roster just to keep them in the building for their QB. thad miss feels like that for burrow
