Draft watch

I think I have decided that if interior lineman is really where they decide to draft,  and most mocks I have seen line up that way in value, we ate trading down. I'd love to get a late first/ early second and another second while giving back a 5th. I also am convinced Thai Ragnow is the guy since I've decided our  offensive line coach will be reminded of Frederick.

Pollack's Center big board probably looks like this:

  1. James Daniels
  2. Frank Ragnow
  3. Billy Price

If we take a center in the first round, it will most likely be Daniels or Ragnow.  If we wait until the 2nd round, then I think we're getting Price...

Bengals Hosting Arden Key for a visit after also interviewing him at the combine.  I hadn't really considered him to be honest.  Once a guy considered a top 5 pick in this draft, cooled a bit after this past season.  Another pass rushing specialist.

Maybe in the 3rd I’d take him

No chance Ragnow goes in the 1st. Bengals seem to like the TCU center who tests great athletically but wasn't invited to the combine.

Showing interest doesn't mean you ignore the position until the seventh round.  That's playing with nuclear rods.

More than likely not, but I think he'll be one of the first 10 picks in the 2nd round.  The "Ragnow is the best Center in the draft class" talk is picking up steam lately.

Daniels has the highest ceiling, but Ragnow will more than likely be the best center year 1.  I'm expecting those 2 to be the first 2 centers drafted...

Pretty much this.  I could see us "stuck" with Price depending on how the QB picks go and when the run on interior linemen (outside of Nelson) starts.

I see 4 centers that can start for us this season.  We NEED to get one of these four:

James Daniels
Frank Ragnow
Billy Price
Austin Corbett

In an Ideal world, this would be the Bengals starting OL week 1:

LT: Cordy Glenn
LG: Clint Boling
OC: James Daniels (Or Billy Price/Frank Ragnow)
RG: Isaiah Wynn (Or Will Hernandez)
RT: Jake Fisher

If Fisher can't cut it, we can move Wynn to RT and shuffle in Westerman at RG...
