Correct. You can talk about the Jets (primarily) in a Jets thread. If you want to bring up other teams, maybe make it relevant to the thread at hand. Maybe compare kickers. Or talk about how the Cowboys will replace Greg the leg. Not Dolphins playoff wins in 2001, or how the Cowboys lost a terrible LG. 

 

Now do you understand? We shouldnt have to explain it a 14th time.

He was bottom 10 in field goal percentage last year and dead last in xp %. 

In 2020 he was about middle of the pack and in 2019 he was bottom 6 in field goal percentage. He hasn't been a good kicker since 2018. 

There was talk all last year about what Dallas was going to do with him because he was so shaky. Most of those guys played 20 years ago. Field goal kickers are a little better now. His all time field goal percentage is the same as Blair Walsh and Zuelerein is getting older. He's 24th in field goal accuracy among active players. That's not good. He's up to 21st if you take out guys who didn't play last year but haven't actually declared retirement as far as I know (Kai Forbath, Dan Bailey, etc)

He led the Cowboys to a 12-5 record in 2021 and went 100% kicking in the playoffs, despite questionable coaching and subpar line play.

He's an underrated tackler because he's only 6'0", but has laid down 8 (eight) tackles including 7(!) solo tackles. Cowboys didn't use him WHATSOEVER in zone coverage last year, where I think he would really excel as an open field tackler. He even had more tackles than his newfound Jets teammate Carl Lawson did last year, for goodness sake.

While he hasn't been utilized to his strengths in Dallas, he still managed to be the 13th highest scorer in the league last year. More than Mahomes, Allen or even Tom freakin' Brady. At the end of the day, the guy is putting points on the board and winning games. So spare me your snooty "advanced metrics". 

You point to a sharp decline in his accuracy (overrated), but let me direct you to the fact that you don't put up 80 touchbacks in one season without an absolute CANNON for a leg. There has been talk that they might have to restructure MetLife to accommodate and keep the ball in the stadium.

I mean literally, just ONE season ago he had a team builder card in Madden that looked like ->



You're telling me a K with a 96 KPW leg can't play in the NFL? I don't even want to talk about what a creative mastermind like Brant Boyer could do with that SPD and ACC from the K position. Now that he FINALLY has a decent ST coach (I hear Boyer is one of the best in the league), I GUARANTEE you Legatron is going to be all pro this year.

I think there is a lot of reason to be excited if you are a Jets fan. Just too many haters out there jealous of the dynasty they are building up in East Rutherford.
