brownie man Posted August 21, 2022 Share Posted August 21, 2022 Takeaways 1. Mike Woods better be good because right now our backup receivers look bad. It’s a real concern. This Schwartz experiment needs to go to the practice squad. No one else looked good. 2. DT depth is needed. We need to be on waivers. Philly has a strong backup line but we knew this could be a problem and it’s looking like it will be. 3. Doubs looked pretty good. We might be alright with him as our backup. He’s athletic enough to do the roll outs and he looked really accurate today. 4. John Kelly is a nice idea but he has no explosion or burst. Just no burst through the hole at all. There were some first downs he should’ve had. PS at best. 5. We played alot of guys with no experience compared to Philly. Everyone competed but this game came down to our lack of talent at receiver. Huge concern when it comes to depth. If Schwartz isn’t going to play ST put him on practice squad. Jacoby doesn’t have the talent to wait for him to learn how to play receiver. We need Emmanuel Sanders or Fuller or somebody. Mike Woods better be good because our depth is looking horrible. Where was Felton today? Was he hurt??? RBs looked really good too. Emerson was solid. Dobbs really looked good at times. Our TEs looked like trash. I know it’s backups, but some of those dudes looked soft.
