Pickett’s intangibles are off the charts. He is going to have a long career here, I have 0 doubts.

I agree with you. completely.  I still wish he would have gotten to sit all year r until later in the year.  But, now that he is out there, he is here to stay.

I had a discussion with someone about Pickett's talents and what he brings despite being a rookie.  They were comparing and contrasting Kenny to Big Ben.

Kenny was brought in to be a spark initially. Despite the loss to the Jets and turnovers, his upside in play was evident. Another thing that I mentioned that stands out early about Kenny is the maturity and leadership that Pickett has as a young player.

I think Ben had better overall NFL caliber or ready physical tools (size, overall arm strength, etc.). But I think Kenny is probably a more accurate passer at the same stage, a more mature polished NFL ready player (despite Ben's win/loss record his first two seasons) has much better study habits, better leadership qualities, and will make this "his team" much sooner than Ben did.

If I compared Kenny to a current NFL QB it would be Joe Burrow (with a little more mobility).  I think Jackson in B-more, Pickett in Cincy, and eventually Watson will all make for some very high quality AFC North battles with Pickett for years to come.

I hope you all find someone to love you as much as Tomlin and Canada love third and manageable.

I actually don’t think it’s a horrible strategy now that we have a QB who converts 3rd downs. Would be more effective if we had any semblance of a run game too.

Ben had everything you want.  Accuracy, arm strength and attitude.  KP is lacking in arm strength.  He has an NFL average arm but Ben had a NFL+ arm.  We can hope that KP is comparable to Russel Wilson.  Another QB that has  average arm strength.
