Here's how that conversation should have gone:

"Josh, wtf? Don't say a word. Here's what you're going to do:

First, your charity case scholarship DC is gone. Or you can both go now. Take your pick.

Second, if you decide to stay, your playbook is getting scrapped. It's nearly been half a season and we're still running broken plays and guys still play like it's preseason. I don't care how exotic it is, it isn't working.

Third, you're playing Munford at RT every snap from here out. If he gets hurt, sign someone. But Eleumenor is done.

Fourth, if you run one more jet sweep with Davante Adams, you're gone. I will walk down to the field and immediately relinquish your duties myself. Actually, I'll fly Jim f*cking Irsay down to come deliver the message for me.

Lastly, here's a playbook from last year. You're promoting Edgar Bennett to co-OC and giving him play calling duties since he has the most exposure to that system. You have until the end of the season to learn how to be a HC, or you're gone. And if you survive, you can tinker that playbook as a template going forward. "

If not, I don't care because it means Mark has no balls.

I can imagine a scenario where Josh McDaniels gets fired Edgar Bennett either takes us to the playoffs or we barely missed the playoffs and then everybody will say that that was just an emotional run and then that wouldn't work again next year.

Bars and JE are hot garbage, simple but yet nothing has changed or been done (except to leave our highest graded guy from last wk on the bench) and granted Nola has a more talented d line than Houston but cmon man. You gonna tell me there’s not a better guard out there than bars? Lmfao! And again, why no suh? Cuz of his money demands? Cmon man! The 2 most obvious weakness’s and they’ve been totally ignored for 8 wks? That’s just extremely frustrating to put it lightly. Carr did look shaky from the get go, they sure as heck didn’t do him any favors today though, imo easily our o lines worst game so far..... in both phases. JJ had to dodge defenders in the backfield a bunch today.

It's week eight and we're still rotating the offensive line(something that was crazy week one). Think about that.

I think scheme is a very large part of our troubles.  Gus Bradley ran a very simple D scheme which fit our talent level.  He was able to adapt to not having an interior pass rush and an overall lack of talent across the board.  i don't think Bradley gets enough credit for our averageish D last year which is a major feat considering our lack of talent and depth on that side of the ball.  PG's D scheme has been atrocious and that is being kind.

The team was playing inspired football last season, this season they look defeated.  That is a completely subjective but perspective but I feel that is the case here.   Why are we palying uninspiring football, who knows but it has to fall on JM.

Right. You can say he sucks if you want to but you're never gonna catch him rushing three people I'm playing prevent in the middle of the game.

And that's besides the fact that they are 10th in sacks with and their edge rusher that we traded to them is leading their team in sacks while the guy that we replaced him with and paid more than him has a .5 sack

Mark Davis isn't never going to have a good hire. He don't watch enough football and don't know enough people. It will always be retreads. Del Rio, gruden and McD. 2 or 3 years from now, frank Reich or Todd Bowles cmon down. Yuck.

I said this specific thing in January and everyone got mad at me. He's the common denominator to me

It's not a long term outlook and that was my point.  The returning players and lack of overall talent didn't warrant signing older players like that as this team had a zero percent chance at a SB victory.  That was my whole stance all offseason and why I didn't agree with those moves.  Is Adams a top 3 WR, yes he is but were we a top 3 Wr away from a SB run...  Clearly we were not.

I was saying that this team needs to sign young talent with upside potential.  I was vocal about signing Juju for the last two years and thought he would provide good value at his price tag and age.  He is hitting his stride in KC and proving me right.

I was never a fan of signing an old Jones but I did think he had something left in the tank, I just don't like signing over 30 players to big contracts on a roster devoid of talent and depth.  I have also been pounding the table for over a decade to find a 3T who can rush the passer and we never do.  We will need an interior rush for our outside pass rushers to reach their full potential.

Just so I can say this on record: juju would've been horrible here with the kind of playcalling that's been going on. The only thing that would've been positive about that move is that it would've been cheap

We have a top 3 Wr and he is not being used properly.  Age, price tag and upside potential with Juju was my point.

Right. that I can understand. It's just that if he was on our team right now we'd be saying why do we get this washed guy. Then at least you could rebuild properly when it falls through. No really our only hope is for us is to find a good 3T in the draft which is very hard to find usually.

Agreed - time for him to sell the team and fade into oblivion.

A 3T and a shutdown CB.  Two positions I have been very vocal about finding for well over a decade.

Too bad we have drafted like **** and couldn't sign a FA if our lives depended on it.

Umm if the offense starts cooking i doubt that somehow just my 2 cents. I think everybody here agrees the offense (passing)in particular has been pretty underwhelming.

Boo Boo was the solution? Not even the best WR in the NFL can save Carr from being mediocre. He’s the great value Jimmy G

Says it all really.

Not going to say the defense played even average but when the offense puts up zero and turns the ball over with the other team taking over inside FG range the defense does not matter much unless we are expecting the defense to out score the offense and the Saints.  I think just the quote of Carr getting hit 9 times sums up the game.

If the offense starts cooking, he might be safe.

But so far, we've only looked decent at best while being generous, and only against bottom rung defenses.

It has a looooooooong way to go before he should have any right to feel his job is safe.

Problem is, with the ease at which New Orleans was moving the ball, if they had additional possessions, they would've just topped 35 on us.

Our offense was flat out bad today, no denying it. But I don't think it would've mattered either way. We wouldn't have won a shootout with the Saints with how both units were playing today. The nothingburger is always gross, but yeah. 24-21, 24-17, etc is all still a loss. If we'd scored 21, they probably score 35.
