Gameday Thread: Week 11: Raiders @ Broncos 2:05 MST

It's going to go unnoticed but Washington's decision to take the ball out there is so costly, because the playbook usually contracts when we're inside our own 20.   MUCH easier for the D to counteract.

3 and out.   Man, this is a terrible sequence of events that's just happened in the last 20 mins.

Every time we get a returner with some ability they start fumbling the ball at ridiculous rates.

Not just that, but you have to know, fumble ball, still in EZ - you take a *****ing knee.   It's literally not rocket science.

Instead of the 25, we start at the 14, and contract the playbook.    One of those hidden plays that shifts the game.

The D held - thanks to Browning / Jackson's strong run support on 3rd and 4.     So it's a tie game.   When we should have 17 points.

This is when the O needs to assert itself.  We've never had a full game of success.   One half isn't enough.

At least with Trindon Holliday, although you’d lose a fumble once every few weeks, he was at least good for a TD a few times a year too. Washington legitimately adds no value whatsoever.

Hinton drops a 40+ yarder......maybe a TD, on a free play.   Russ throws an absolute dime there, hits him on the dead run.

After we get a 1st from the run post-offsides missed free play, Wilson's truly first awful throw on an open Dulcich seam on 2nd and 7 for 30+....dammit.

Then we get 3rd and 7...and we keep Dulcich in to block.   No one open Not a fan at all of any key play that has Dulcich in as a blocker.   Literally our best mismatch there.   Kubiak's called a very good game, but that's misstep.

Man, it's once again time to ask the D to hold.   So unfair, but it is what it is.  So frustrating since the O actually was working before the MG3 fumble, and now is shooting itself in the foot.

We can't complain about the refs today.   We got a MASSIVE break on the helmet-to-helmet hit by Simmons, so then Adams gets an unsportsmanlike and ball on their 35 instead of ball on our 40.

Hackett does the first plus move as a HC today by getting the TO before we got too many men on the field.

That was an absolute monster hold by the team to get off the field after 5 plays.  But no excuses, the O HAS to drive and get points here.   The momentum has been ALL LV since the MG3 fumble / blocked FG.

Washington finally gets a positive play....even though he did fumble at the end  (OB - LOL).

Sutton cost the team dearly in the 1H.

But THAT was a redeeming play.

And other than the bad throw to Dulcich, and a couple of times where Russ left the pocket when pressure wasn't there - he's looked WAY better.    Just need to see it for a full 60 minutes.

And with our pass success - suddenly the run game opens up.  Pass success sets up the run.   Crazy concept.

Latavius Murray is a guy I’d like to see back next year. He’d be an ideal #2 to Javonte.

Have you seen the FA list this offseason?    We can do much better than Lat Murray and very cheaply.

Having said that, I'm glad we have him this year, he's miles better than anyone left on the roster (Edmonds is a COP/pass down guy in space).

I absolutely love that we have Browning as the EDGE, but he showed why ppl thought his future was as an ILB on that 3rd down play.  Abdullah completely blanketed.

Now as much as our run game has been better in the 2H - it's followed success with the pass.   DON'T change now, Kubiak.   This is a great time for play action and quick hitter to Dulcich / Sutton or Hinton.    Then hit them with some run game with Murray if it gets you the first / 2nd and short.

This is where even a halfway decent O can take control of the game.  Come on Kubiak, Russ & co.
