Not sure how anyone could possibly disagree with the observation that if Rodgers had played like an MVP (instead of an 83.1 passer rating) we would have won a game we ended up losing by only 4 points.

Because his passer rating was probably 100+ until the INT, and the INT quite possibly wouldn't have happened had there not been 5 dropped passes and a dude fumbling away a RedZone opportunity. The INT was also largely a result of a missed blitz pickup. It's not 7 on 7.

The Titans game, with multiple wide opens throws he missed throughout that game, I'm totally fine putting on Rodgers, after watching the tape from the Lions game, he was the captain of a ship full of dimwits, who ultimately joined them in crunch time.

I don't disagree much with what you say.

But when you pay your QB that much, you expect more.

And again...other elite Qb's have days when fumbles happen or the o-line isn't perfect.  And they still win.

With how much we pay Rodgers, he too should be able to overcome these things.  But he hasn't.  Repeatedly.

Absolutely.

And again what I have said consistently.

Rodgers was not the problem. But he wasn't the answer either. And when you pay your QB the amount we pay him, you expect him to be the answer to the problems. On balance, taking into account the drops and the OL mess, Rodgers played OK. But you expect a lot more than OK for 50m

I don't think anyone is disputing that Rodgers did not play up to his contract or to his previous standards as MVP.

If Rodgers plays to MVP level we probably win.  If AJ doesn't fumble then we probably win. If we don't drop all those catches then we probably win. If the line holds up then we probably win.

The concerning thing is that so much of the offense seems to fall apart in the crucial games.  Maybe we just bottled it. Maybe we were out-coached.  I think we all went into the game aware that its not the best Packers team we have seen in play-offs in recent years.  There was a good chance we would be out-played by someone like the 49ers.  What I didn't expect was for the team to collectively **** the bed.  I honestly thought that after being in win-or-out mode for weeks, the team was battle ready for the big games. We might be out-played but I didn't think we would fall apart the way we have in play-offs.

Sure, but Rodgers played quite well for the first 3 Qs, if the OL, WRs and RBs played as well as Aaron did in the first half, we'd have went into the locker room up 21-3. That's a whole different ball game.

You can blame him for playing like **** with the season on the line in the 4th, but at least give him the credit that it was others mistakes that he was in that situation.

Other QB's who get paid less do more in those situations when the OL, WR's and RB's don't play as well.

That's my point.  When you pay someone that much, you are paying for their ability to overcome some obstacles within those other groups.
