Week 18 Gameday Thread (Win And In Edition) - Green Bay Packers (8-8-0) vs. Detroit Lions (8-8-0)

As painful as the season ending game was to endure.. . there was a butt-catch. A (Jets)butt-fumble can be envisioned at the very least. The Packers/Lions game had Savage roll over a Lions WR resulting in, for a moment, a butt-catch and then release, and re caught with hands. I've never seen that before.

Actually, Rodger's QB rating was about 84, just a little below Jared "Small Hands" Goff. Think about it. Rodgers was outplayed by Jared Goff. Jared. Goff.

This game was determined by the line play.  Dominated by Detroit on both lines.  Rodgers was under siege a good part of it.

Have you EVER not responded to criticism of Rodgers by bashing the Offensive Line???

Rodgers was only sacked twice.

Rodgers got outplayed by Goff.

People need to quit the scapegoating.

Rodgers isn't worth close to his 50m cap cost (not cap hit) but this was very much a team loss. For most of the game, he played like a very good just not elite QB which is pretty much what he is now.

The Jones fumble was a killer, good chance we win the game without that. There were a lot of dropped catches, for much of the game Rodgers was carrying the Offence. Then he went to crap as well and should have 2 INTS against his name.

I think its time for him to retire though - unless injuries really have hampered him enough that there is a chance he can bounce back next year.

I'm pretty much at peace with it - last few weeks have been a bonus really.

Citation needed.

Any bit of complaining about drops is immediately cancelled out by the Lions dropping a couple and a penalty saving him another.

As bad as rodgers was, Mlf definity shipped the bed in this game too. Did not need to be so aggressive on our own 30 at home against an inferior team. Chill alaska was a garbage play design.

Aj dillon and jones too.

Maybe j reed played well, wyatt had a nice sack, clark not dominant though.

This was a total team loss.

A couple bad drops though at least 4 in the game. Those don't help, he had some bad throws yes. But the drops hurt and kill drives.

Also never understood where our screen game went this year. A team like the Lions with an agressive style why not work off it.

Yeah chasing points that early from our own 30 was dumb. Why not just go for it from the 5 on forth then? Just no need gifted a bad team who was not doing anything 3 points. I think MLF was crapping himself too and was wound up too tight. DAm guy probably made some diamonds last night during that game. Very little outside runs, no screen game to the backs. Just odd all around, there was enough there but when you can't score in the red zone you have issues.

The line sucked last night, so did Rodgers. It was a combined suck. When the two of them held up and graded plus, the receiver would suck on that given play.

We need to get Runyan out of the starting 5 and Myers head out of his *** this offseason. Myers over Humphrey continues to be a baffling head scratcher by our evaluation team.

Yep.  There is no single answer to what's wrong with the GB offense.  There are issues on several levels, and one of those issues is likely to be exposed on any given play.
