Josh Jones is solidly better than Brandon Shell, but having him as a backup tackle is such a step forward. Our backup 5 offensive lineman will be better than the offensive line that we played the majority of last year. Defense: DT: Mike Purcell, Jonathan Ledbetter NT: Rashard Lawrence, Leki Fotu, Eric Banks DT: Deatrich Wise, Manny Jones OLB: Myjai Sanders, Victor Dimukeje ILB: Isaiah Simmons, Nick Vigil ILB: Zaven Collins, Blake Lynch OLB: Cam Thomas, Jesse Luketa Nickel: Marco Wilson, Rodney McLeod CB: Danny Johnson, Jace Whittaker, Nate Hairston S: Budda Baker, Josh ThomasS: Jalen Thompson, Juju HughesCB: Duke Shelley, Christian Matthew Notes: Adding Deatrich Wise we are hoping will help soften the loss of JJ Watt. He had 7.5 sacks last year so that should cut into it a little bit. Danny Johnson and Duke Shelley being added should give us one of the better secondaries in the league. I would also like to note that we are likely transitioning to a 43 so a lot of those front 7 positions are flexible. Wise is more of a 4/3 end. Cam Thomas is an edge guys. Collins and Simmons are probably your Mike and Sam.
