Aaand, here it is! Will Cheesy be able to tie up the overall series or will Salsa asert its dominance one more in the All-Star Bowl? More importantly, which team will get an extra tag to spend next season on the game's MVP?

Was Mahomes robbed of the All-Star Bowl MVP?

Patrick Mahomes: 23/35 (65.71%, 108.39 Rating) for 273 yards, 2 touchdowns, 0 interceptions.

Travis Kelce: 6 receptions for 105 yards (17.50 YPR, 27 LNG), 1 touchdown.

I agree that 6 for 105 and a TD is fantastic, but that's a pretty great QB performance.

Surtain apparently got eaten alive based on stats of the other receivers but had 8 coverages as well…

Yeah, I guess (theoretically) Lamb putting up 9 and 106 on him wasn't good, but 8 coverages is pretty girthy. (The notion that imaginary Rodgers was avoiding imaginary Ramsey is sort of adorable.)

keep in mind - it's based on bulk stats, not efficiency (the only exception I think is for Punters and Returners which multiply the bulk by an amount based on their average). And passing stats are lower value (as otherwise it would be very hard for receivers to ever get MVP over a QB).

In this case...

Patrick Mahomes: 6.13 (273 passing yards at 1 per 44.5) + 4.5 (2 passing TD at 2.25 per) + 0.28 (7 rushing yards at 1 per 50 for QBs) = 10.91

Travis Kelce: 1.95 (6 receptions at 0.325 per for TEs) + 5.25 (105 receiving yards at 1 per 20 for TEs) + 2.75 (1 receiving TD at 2.75 per for TEs) + 1.0 (1 pancake at 1 per for TEs) = 10.95

So yeah, edged him out by a hair due to the pancake, lol
