Wheeler would be a nice get and would save some of those arms in the bullpen. I mean, Wheeler isn't changing the outlook on our season. Especially for what Wheeler is going to cost. Wheeler doesn't put us head and shoulders better than the Cubs. He's a FA at the end of the year and he's got a significant injury history. Jedd has shown that he’s somewhat valuable to a club when he’s healthy. Unless of course this is a trade for a trade type thing. A team that has a very average rotation and a bullpen who will dead by the end of August(if it lasts that long) and they did nothing to improve. A team that is in 1st place(for now) keeps the same rotation in place. The best team in baseball lands a legit player after already having a damn good rotation.
