I don't think his Net Worth was ever really that much over $1B before he bought the team and most of his worth has come from the value of the team. Bankruptcy from Six Flags led to the lenders getting 92% of Six Flags and they removed Snyder and Shapiro (the same guy in charge of Endeavor which is UFC and now WWE) from their spots. As an Orioles fan, I was fine with Angelos meddling because I ultimately knew he cared about the city and the players. He risked his ownership early on in his tenure by not siding with the owners in the 1994 work stoppage. The consensus was that we'll finally see a fan of a NFL team running the team like a fan. And this, just to be clear, was seen as a good thing! I shook my head at that nonsense then and I've never stopped shaking it. I happen to have always hated the Redskins, so it's been a good time seeing their epic 25-year faceplant.
