No wonder they weren't interested. I wouldn't take Lamar over Ridder at their price tags straight up, much less have to give up picks to do it. Well hold on, what guarantee is there that Arthur Smith would even play Lamar full-time at QB instead of doing a 3 QB rotation with Ridder, Heinecke and Lamar to "keep them all fresh"? Let's be honest here, this team SHOULD be better than Tampa Bay right now. Arthur Smith is a terrible head coach, play designer and playcaller. While Ridder did improve through the year, it wasn't as fast I was expecting him to, and he's probably a long-term backup at this point.
