rickyt31
Think we're having a decent draft class. If McDonald is playing LB, TIPP plays center, and JBC plays FS, They'll make an impact this season.
JetsandI
That would be wrapped up. Now, it is all in coaches' hands.
JetsandI
Can't wait to see who Jets sign as UDFA. I hope familiar names.
rickyt31
Good pick! If Zack Kuntz figures it out, no one is stopping a 6'8, 4.55 running, 40" vertical having TE. I like how we ended the draft.

rickyt31
My thoughts on this class. McDonald IV -> Really great pick if he's playing LB. He will make it harder for offenses to lock in on a pass rusher and is athletic enough to play in space. Tippman -> I didn't think we would pick him over JMS, but I think JD wanted everyone to believe that. TIPP is a great prospect. Athletic and can get to all levels of the field. Has some technique challenges, but that can be fixed. If this works, he'll be a top-5 center in the league. Warren -> Good development prospect. His injury seemed to have thrown him off, but he's not far from a potential starter. I can't see him beating out Max, Becton, or Brown but he maybe a good challenge in 2024. Abanikanda -> Wasn't a need, but he can be a threat in this offense. Great block reader and has breakout speed. Him and Knight are really going to push Carter to either get better or traded. This is great news for Hall as he tries to get comfortable again. Barnes -> Probably a special teams player, but I like him as a development/rotation guy. It's probably easier to get an LB to learn how to play the run than it is to learn how to cover. Barnes is good at covering and doesn't shy away from the run. he just has to get better at it. Bernard-Converse -> If he's given a chance at safety, he has Jimmie Ward potential. I'm not sure how I feel about him as a CB. He will definitely get in on special teams though. Kuntz -> I forgot about him, but he's probably the guy I'm the most excited about. Hurdle and High jump state champion. Started at Maryland and Penn State, then transferred over to OD. He got hurt and that messed him up. Gibbs ran a 4.36 with a 1.52 10yd split. Kuntz hit 1.55. If he figures it out, I can't see LBs covering him. 6'8, 260lbs, 4.55, and 40inch vert is insane. The best part of this is that we have vets who are great at the things he needs to work on. I don't know how soon he'll make an impact, but I don't expect it to be long. The overall theme seems to be athletic freaks. Edited April 29, 2023 by rickyt31
rickyt31
UDFA I'm interested in are Isaiah Land, Aubrey Miller Jr, and a DT. I think our LB core is still thin and I would love to have guys developing Mosley.
KingOfNewYork
Lots of developmental pieces/depth behind Tippman and McDonald. Tippman has the best chance at starting next season but it’s no given. McDonald should be in the EDGE rotation and Izzy will definitely be in contention for some snaps along with likely being our return specialist. Everyone else will likely sit and develop barring unforeseen injuries or them coming in and taking someone’s spot.

jetsfan4life51
Skinner dropped due to surgery? And not testing. Man, it’s a luxury but it’s a Kam Chancellor clone.
Dr.O
Getting more excited over the WM4 pick, think if he can bulk up a little he could be a Brian Burns type guy. Think Lawson may be out the door at some point this off-season or a Huff trade… either way I’m excited for this kid to actually play his proper position and get after QBs
