This is the time he got caught. Not likely the only time he’s done it. Same with Ruggs. It’s stupid. That said, certainly not a cuttable offense. Just really, really dumb. Hopefully he learns or someone from the organization puts the fear into him.

Just trying to improve his 40 time...

At 140 mph, one travels 1/140th of an hour per mile.

40 yds is 1/44th of a mile (1760 yds / 40 = 44 ).

...... arithmetic .......

One would travel 40 yds in 360 / 616 ths of a second.  Rounded; 0.6 second

Not even Rich Eisen is that fast!!!

to correct spelling of rounded.

Absolute idiot. Not a good start for him. Someone needs to fill him in on Henry Ruggs.

Hopefully someone on the Vikings roster is a leader and gets in that freaking kids ear.

PS A "Lamborghini Urus" is a ugly *** car!  What it is just some fancy version of a Subaru Hatchback?   If you are going to buy a fancy nice car then do it.

Edit: Semper is not the one clutching any pearls in this scenario lol. That's not how to use that aphorism.

i learned a new word today:

aph·o·rism

noun

a pithy observation that contains a general truth, such as, “if it ain't broke, don't fix it.”.

But nothing happened. No one was hurt. No one was killed. No property was destroyed. Addison wasn’t under the influence. Why create fake outrage over scenarios or variables that didn’t occur? Scenarios and variables that can just as easily happen going 60 mph.

A 21 year old, in a sports car, made a dumb decision and got a speeding ticket. As Leber stated, hopefully it’s a learning experience.

It’s not a big deal.

Undermining going 85 over the speed limit is crazy.

If there's no consequences for your actions, then you don't learn anything. Letting him think it's no big deal makes him more likely to do it again. What he did was incredibly reckless and could have killed someone just as easily as someone driving under the influence. In fact it might even be more concerning that he did this under a clear, and sober mind.

Yes I do hope he learns from it, he's incredibly talented and we spent a 1st round draft pick on him. He's incredibly lucky.

He was cited for reckless driving, so there was clearly a consequence.

But for people to try and make the outcome more serious than what it was by adding their “what if” scenarios, it just creates fake outrage for the sake of being outraged by something. Wanting to admonish, or even punish, him for something that didn’t happen is just ridiculous.

So, if he'd driven drunk and not killed anyone, no biggie also? Just because you got lucky doesn't mean we should downplay how dangerous this is.

No one said that? He’s being punished according to the law that he broke, and the team will address the incident with him. What else do you want?

What if he was Jack the Ripper?

If you have to inject "what if" scenarios into the discussion, the original topic is clearly not significant enough to warrant a strong reaction.
