Still trying to figure that out.... I think he's referring more to in-house extensions than free agency acquisitions. But, as far as Oliver, his original draft projection was to be more a receiving TE than a blocking one (although he certainly was good at it in college), but that's how the Ravens utilized him, which shouldn't come as a surprise considering their offensive scheme (he didn't exactly play a lot with the Jags, so we have no idea how they would have used him). A contract where 3 years, minimum, are guaranteed would be my definition of long term. And those contracts are typically written as 4-5 year deals. vike daddy
Pads aren't scheduled to go on until next Monday, but Wednesday featured plenty of thumping thanks to a new speaker system installed around the perimeter of the practice fields. A total of 24 speakers have been attached to 12 poles, an upgrade over the previous method of stacking a couple of speakers on a golf cart. The poles also feature new remote-operated cameras atop them. Vikings Head Coach Kevin O'Connell and the staff utilize video boards on the field to review plays in real time and help teach. The new camera system provides more eyes in the sky for in-depth film study and prevents football videographers from needing to use scissor lifts for aerial views. The poles additionally have player tracking sensors that read RFID chips worn by the players to help the Health and Performance staff monitor players' movements to help avoid over-usage. https://www.vikings.com/news/2023-alexander-mattison-kj-osborn-embrace-opportunities?fbclid=IwAR2hUFGoi70_a6k31JJjCo_yC94R4Y0eRCSNXn4YLWjOFlGmy_t33dFWLFo
JDBrocks
Nailor was the biggest winner of OTAs/minicamp, in my eyes, and he continued to stand out on the first day of camp. He had at least three catches during 7s (there was no 11-on-11 action today) and continues to get open.
JDBrocks
It’d be pretty sweet if Nailor, Addison, and Osborn are all pushing each other for snaps.

We know what we have (mostly) in Osborn. So seeing Addison and Nailor getting some serious run means that we'll have outstanding depth at the position.
swede700
Joejuan Williams running with the ones surprises me, but probably shouldn't since he's a Pats guy. While Flores wasn't there any longer when he was drafted (since he had just been hired by the Dolphins), it was likely the same system, so he has a leg up over the competition. He’s also still a former top 50 pick. So, the physical talent isn’t lacking.

JDBrocks
Addison looks pretty good, but then you watch JJ and it’s crazy how much better he is. The sell, the catch, chopping the feet at the sideline with no deceleration. the gap between great college route runner and great NFL route runner is huge.
SteelKing728
JJ is on a level that consists of him and only him. But Addison still ran a good route lol
