For the last decade, the defense ranged from very good to historically elite. This season they are dead last in points allowed. If you take out the 70 points Miami racked up, they climb all the way to 32nd, ie still last but in one fewer game. Unsurprisingly, they lead the league in rushing yards allowed and are 29th in passing yards allowed. The roster for this defense is not what it was five years ago but it's solid. Maybe there are a few holes but they should be decent, as in not even being mediocre much less bad. On the other side of the ball, they are starting to look like a decent NFL team again.
