Meh, they are statistically the best team in the league and we lost by 4 points.

I don't need to blame refs or get into counting the number of "what if" plays.

There's no shame in losing to a good team lol

I don't really care about losing this game, I do care about the fact that 10 games in we haven't figured this out. Really don't care about single games that much at this point, but when we look like we're not going to be able to score on other superbowl caliber teams, that's a problem.

There’s shame in not scoring a point in the second half of games for over 30 days lol

If only games were only the first two quarters we’d be fine!

Pretty much this.  That was a catch most WRs in the league catch 10/10 times. Imo.

A load of HS wide outs that catch that. It hit him in the hands with the defender 5 yards from him. You do that in training camp, you're looking for a new team.

Oh well, it is what it is.

No shame at all, I'm just saying you guys should've taken the lead on a half dozen plays it feels. Receivers really let Mahomes down.

I blame them, this is what happens when you neglect a position/scout it wrongly for years and think a 4th WR like MVS will develop.

This is where I think KC made a mistake not getting Hopkins or someone of that Caliber. Now, why they didn't, I don't know, but I'm in agreeance with you, they've neglected that WR position for several seasons and it's never been more clear than it was tonight

Optimal? I think it's optional if you're a Chief...apparently....

And please don't take me wrong Chiefs fans, I'm not piling on the loss or trolling. I'm just saying what you're already thinking about your WRs.

The OL and Defense is giving Mahomes what he needs, but his WRs can't catch for ****.

I don't think you'll get any disagreements from us lol

Exactly.

KC played an overall great game and they're still one of the top AFC teams, but this is an issue they're gonna have to find a way to correct.

The playoffs are going to be so god damn boring this year too I can feel it. All this stupidity and chaos and it'll just be the Chiefs and the Eagles.

It's certainly possibly they'll have used up all the lunacy in the too long regular season.  But certainly hope not.

I think with all these goofy somehow gimped teams with holes at different spots, we might get some wild games and big upsets.

I was hoping they could develop Justyn Ross. I’m disappointed in him, tbh.

I mean he was a UDFA with a significant spine injury that if this sport was honest would have precluded him from even having a continued career, relying on that because of his prospect profile from 5 years ago was never smart.

A few things to look for:

PHI O vs. KC D

-Nick Bolton out has changed the KC pass D in that they're more vulnerable to RB's.   They've only allowed 37 catches in the 199 rec yds in their 9 games to RB's this season, but 12-75 came in the last 2 games without Bolton there.   WIth Dallas Goedert out, I'd expect we'll see more Swift and Gainwell in the pass game tonight.

-The other player who likely steps up with Goedert out is Devonta Smith.   He's cracked 100+ yards vs. KC in the 2 games.   Obviously AJ Brown is still the alpha, but we may be seeing the 1A / 1B days with those 2.

-PHI is obviously going to lean on the run game as well.

KC O vs. PHI D

-PHI's run D is a monster, as others KC fans have noted in other threads, the KC OL acquisitions have improved their pass pro abilities, but at the expense of their run blocking.   So it's going to be how Mahomes and the pass game can exploit the PHI D (and exploit they can)...

-PHI has 2 main weaknesses right now - TE & slot WR.   The obvious conclusion is that Travis Kelce should eat - but the hidden 2nd guy, Noah Gray, is an even more nuanced target.   Slot-wise, this means Rashee Rice.

COACHING / ST's / TO's

Usually TO's often swing the game (the last 3 DEN W's show this in spades).    So that almost goes without saying.   But I'd point out that Andy Reid / Matt Nagy's playcalling & Brian Johnson's playcalling may come under more scrutiny, as they haven't been nearly at their best in key situations this year.     Finally, as it's in KC, the field position & ST's with the FG kickers may be even more key in a lower-scoring game than we saw in the SB.

Assuming we're TO-neutral, I'd give this to PHI, given their weaknesses are where KC are weak as well (KC WR vs. PHI secondary).   Either way, hoping for a great game either way (and hope my props that reflect the above all hit lol).

Don't always get these right, but when I do, it's nice for the pocketbook.  Rashee Rice, could have used another catch and 3+ more yards, but otherwise can't really complain lol.

I need the dumbest playoff run imaginable. I need Kenny Pickett having 2 completions a game somehow winning playoff games, I need the corpse of Joe Flacco making the AFCCG.
