But you cannot give up 17/21 for 158 yards, a crucial game winning drive - AND - 71 more on the ground to someone like that, especially when he has such a poor offensive line and not particularly great pass catching options. The Giants had 209 rushing yards against us tonight, and didn't even need Saquon to go over 100 to do it. I reckon a SB run is about Barry's only slim chance of being around next year. But I also get in that moment you feel possessive over your plays because you might need every down to get a TD there. Prioritizing the clock too much there was a luxury he probably didn't think he had, unfortunately. And unfortunately he couldn't trust his DC to hold it for him. Bet this was a defining game for Barry's future here. MLF is probably feeling let down.
