So with some of the midwestern middle of the country teams, it isn't just that metro area, but all of the in between stuff that will still tend towards the close-ish teams. Agree with this. The Washington fan base used to run PA, VA, WVA, MD, NC and all the way down to almost the end of SC. Definitely saw a lot more spread back 30 years ago.
