swede700
Thielen has never struck me as the coaching type, but yes, maybe HS.
SemperFeist
With all of the businesses that Thielen is involved in, I could see him starting an offseason/draft prep training program before I could see him coaching.
SemperFeist
This seems to be about the only threat to keep the Vikings from returning their coaching staff largely intact for 2024. Hopefully Jones stays. He’d be my top candidate for DC in the event Flores ever gets a HC job. The Vikings still need to announce a replacement for Chris Rumph for the defensive line coach. And possibly a new outside linebackers coach, as well.

And of course, Brandon Staley is still available for the OLB job since he didn't get the Rams DC job. There's certainly still some other DC possibilities, but we'll have to see how that goes. I’ve predicted that Staley going to the Vikings staff for a while because of his connection to O’Connell. But, I don’t know if he’d be a good fit with Flores. Just my opinion, but Staley doesn’t seem like the type to expand his horizons. If he signs with someone as a position coach, I’d expect him to follow Fangio to Philadelphia. swede700
He was assistant DL coach for the Rams when KOC was there. And if you read his story, he certainly must have interesting tale to tell about his time as a young man. https://www.espn.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/7269043/new-york-jets-marcus-dixon-found-jail-high-school-now-making-most-nfl-chance Edited February 9 by swede700

vike daddy
The Minnesota Vikings on Friday announced two additions to the 2024 coaching staff, naming Shaun Sarrett assistant offensive line coach and Henry Schneider IV assistant to the head coach. Schneider spent the past five seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders (2019-23) and adds eight years of NFL experience to O'Connell's staff. Schneider most recently served as the manager of coaching operations for the Raiders (2022-23), following one year as football operations coordinator (2021) and two years as football operations assistant (2019-20). During his time in Las Vegas, Schneider assisted with aspects of the head coach's agenda, including day-to-day football operations and coaching administrative needs. Prior to joining the Raiders, Schneider spent two seasons with the Seattle Seahawks as a football operations/equipment intern in 2016 and 2018. In between seasons with the Seahawks, Schneider served as a football operations staff assistant with the Miami Dolphins in 2017. Schneider began his professional career as an operations intern with the National Football Foundation in Irving, Texas, after earning his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Alabama, where he worked four seasons (2012-15) as a student manager for the football program under Nick Saban. https://www.vikings.com/news/henry-schneider-shaun-sarrett-coach-hires?fbclid=IwAR2mXVEhNBn3ZqHLP-kU7ozGyRqKY5GXyX77sy_X3t7RjPNztAjHOhMKNXw
