Jacksonville is going to get suckered into paying him a fortune because of his name and draft status, and it'll be the Leftwich years all over again. The Jags would be better off trading TL after this season than extending him

Dude has been productive. He’s just closer to guys like Goff, Carr, Dak then he is to guys like Mahomes, Allen, and Burrow The only reason Lawrence isn't viewed as a bust is because Jacksonville didn't trade the farm for him and we have the inevitable pedantic people who will make the term "bust" relative to other more accepted busts. Based on what was shoved down everyone's throats for 3 years by Clemson fans, T-Law fangirls, and sports media about how Lawrence was the best ever and had a gold jacket and 5 SB rings already custom fit and how dare you doubt the Prince Who Was Promised you ignorant swine who clearly knows nothing about football or you too would gush all over all things Trevuh, though, dude is every bit a bust. He's nowhere near as advertised and no matter what mental gymnastics are used, he's barely scraping above what can even be called adequate on a consistent basis. I feel for Jags fans. Paying Lawrence is going to be a costly mistake for that franchise. Edited March 10 by ronjon1990

Best ever prospect and he's....what....somewhere in the low 20s as far as starting QB rankings go?

The reason he isn't considered a bust is because he has played decently over the last two years with a real head coach. They had one winning season in the 13 years prior to drafting Lawrence including going 1-15 the year they took him. They've had back to back winning seasons with the 10th / 13th ranked scoring offense while Lawrence has been top 10 in both yards and TD. He's not elite like he was hyped up to be but he's an average starter that could be more.

He’s been mediocre

I doubt they’re going to get any offers. Mike Williams is for sure going to be a cap causality. I could see them going Nabers / Alt / Bowers
NickButera
Trevor Lawrence has done nothing but flourish after Urban Meyer left. You absolutely cannot ook at Lawrence's performance in a vacuum outside of that obvious context. It's been night and day. He's going to be a good QB for a very long time and we still don't know what his ceiling could be.
