Their defense and ability to run the ball are what are impressive. Carr is managing the offense and feeding off that. They've started 6 possessions on their opponents side of the field thanks to their defense and Kamara in Kubiak's scheme has revitalized his career thus far. This plus it’s September we all know how this thing goes

Team will try to play hard for dalton. I would've paid good money to see Maxx bring the hammer down on Young.

You seem to give no credit to complementary football. Carr through the ball 16 times. The run is setting up the pass, not the other way around. The big plays are coming off screens and play action. Carr is making the throws, but the offense is set up with Kamara running the ball and an effective screen game.

That is throwing the ball first.? the big plays are coming from bombs to Rasheed. Edited Monday at 07:45 PM by BackinBlack

Good teams start to run once they have a lead? Saying it’s all kamara is wildly inaccurate. 57 of those yards were on a screen to Kamara. The entire offense runs through Kamara in the CMC role in the Shanahan offense. Except Kamara was a top 5 back in the past.

First drive was a 17 yard pass to Rasheed and a 40 yard pass to Olave ( maybe a short throw? Don’t know didn’t see it) second drive was 1 play 70 yard td. In any event, they hit the deep pass off play action.
big_palooka
Not worried about the Panthers. They don't have much in the way of talent regardless of QB. If the Raiders can't handle business in their home opener against this team, pack it in as last week was a fluke.

And they hit the screen off the threat of deep passes Again complementary football, helps everyone out. good OC helps a QB. First two drives 130+ passing yards to kamaras 2 carries for 6. you cannot say they came out running vs Dal.
BackinBlack
All that said, being able to sustain a lead with just giving the ball to Kamara will be huge for NO and Carr. Cause we know he’s prone to costly turnovers. Two weeks means little, but saints look unreal so far.

I figured they'd struggle early on because the outlook on their OL looked abysmal and we know how Carr fares under pressure. Fuaga really made an impact. Is he related to Gary Kubiak at all? Darbsk
Interesting seeing Mario Edwards Jr still around and playing in Houston. Looked pretty decent for them too at DT which is where we should have played him.
