this resume?

•Wisconsin (2016) Defensive backs coach

•Wisconsin (2017–2022) Defensive coordinator & defensive backs coach

•Wisconsin (2022) Interim head coach

•Illinois (2023) Senior football analyst

Ehhh feels like a lot of wishful thinking by Badgers fans wanting him in GB in the poll.

With the results he got at Wisconsin, with the perceived talent on defense, yes I think so.

He definitely over-achieved there, I would say.

Nevermind he was the best interview for LaFleur the first go around?

Oh didn’t know that Matt told us that publicly.  By all means then, hire the guy who gave the best interview regardless of resume.

Lol he was offered the job? Did Matt offer the job to the 3rd best candidate just to be fair?

Yeah, I would think MLF having offered Leonhard the job last time around would speak pretty clearly to the idea that he's a legit candidate.

I suppose all I'm saying is that the "shock" of Belichick not finding a HC job in this cycle isn't really shocking at all.  His requirements are simply beyond what most organizations are willing to accommodate.  The era of "one guy runs everything" is pretty much over in the NFL.

This ^ - plus, by multiple accounts, he didnt run it well in NE after Brady left. What I find odd is his not recognizing this and sacrificing some responsibilities in order to HC again and get that record. Perhaps he will going forward.

Hope we are just giving Staley a courtesy interview.  Based off of the reports out of LA with the Chargers, we don't want this guy.  His personality rubbed people wrong, plus he had terrible results.  Big pass!

Report is that the Rams want him back...or at least to interview for the position.

Did Matt give the job to Joe Barry, aka the DC of one the worst teams in NFL history, when Leonhard turned it down?   I’d still take Jim over Joe in a heartbeat but let’s not act like Matt’s judgement was state of the art lol.

I’m not saying he’s not a legit candidate. He’d clearly be an upgrade from Barry but so would Marvin Berry lol.
