jaguars are straight savages man. just killing their team biannually in free agency with no direction overpays.

Actually this makes some sense.  It was either start Johnson at slot or replace Jenkins.  Team views this safety class as booty apparently.

He started off promising and is a great athlete. Under a new DC and some injuries he did not bring what we hoped in the past few seasons in GB. Might be a player under the right system. Good luck, Sav.

He’s a better box safety than center fielder.  Joe Barrya lot of players development by trying to force them to fit rather than playing to their strengths. Actually thought with the new stacking DC GB would try to re-sign him.

Well perfect pairing with andre then.  Andre is a hell of a center fielder.

Replacing Jenkins with Savage feels a bit like a lot of shuffling and tinkering around making very marginal improvements.  But hey...i guess...at least if it's moving in the right direction, that's better than nothing.  Also doesn't look like a very promising safety class...and the Jaguars have many holes like this in need of improvement, but limited picks to work with.

Look forward to a year or two from now where Savage is sitting where Jenkins just was...as a guy we want to get rid of for another marginal upgrade.  😆  But i guess that's also just a lot of teams at the Safety position these days.

and then when you realize he has among the worst missed tackle % in the league, this is an indictment on him

the reality is he needs to be a better center-fielder because that's the only chance he has, but he fights it too much.

wonder how different his career arc would look if he hadn't dropped that potential game-winning INT vs SF in the divisional round...
