the difficulty of the Steelers weeks 11-18 is INSANE

I expected it to be the #1 toughest in the NFL

but it's OFF THE CHARTS bad vs any other team

8 straight games vs teams expected to have winning records

6-of-8 expected to win over 10 games

ridiculously difficult for PIT

vs BAL
@ CLE
@ CIN
vs CLE
@ PHI
@ BAL
vs KC
vs CIN

Does that stretch finally cost Tomlin his job?

*Whispers* The Texans are easily the most overrated team in the NFL right now and I expect them to regress a fair amount.

Sort of.

The Texans will be about as good as they were last year.

Unfortunately, their opponents will be much, much better.

Chargers and Titans killed it again this year with their videos.

I hated the Chargers one this year, I was looking forward to it so much.

I can't help thinking about the parallels between the 2023 Texans and the 2022 Giants, as well as their respective subsequent offseasons.

I avoid comps in large part because I'm so bad at them.  If we can ignore the fact that the Rams were a much better team before their Super Bowl flashdance than the Texans before their Cinderella 2023 season, I'd point out their similarities:  decent 2024 drafts, good QBs, great WRs (Houston's may be the best foursome in NFL history this year), unspectacular ground games, overperforming O-Lines, average-range defences, good coaching, and soft schedules.

Going forward, Houston rates to incur more injuries and losses against tougher opposition.  They are a better team than the Giants were in 2022.  (I thought the 2023 Texans would win one more regular season game than they did but they made up for it with a surprise in the playoffs.)  The Texans will bounce back in 2025 or 2026, depending on ease of schedule, just as the Rams will make the playoffs this year.

The Raiders should be ashamed of their schedule release video.  So tacky, so overly tacky.  I hope they were going for that, because then at least they succeeded.

Yeah 6 of the last 8 games being division games is just wild. I mean there's little debate this is by far the hardest schedule of any team this year. But...if we survive it and get into the playoffs, that'll say alot about who this team is and is capable of being.

Each of the last two years the NFL put the only week 18 game that was a win-and-in for both teams not dependent on other outcomes on the Saturday doubleheader instead of SNF. Coincidentally both games ultimately determined the AFC South championship.

The NFL needs to get out of this habit in 2024 and put such games back on SNF, even if it means putting teams that are not as popular in the slot.
