If Josh Oliver inspires your 4.6 YPC stud RB to run straight into the defensive line and fall immediately, get him as far away from my team as possible.

Did he win or not?

No sir, Josh Allen was my DE and he goes by Hines-Allen now. Although QB Josh did win this past season.

This is true. Mahomes magic goes to another level in the IRL playoffs, which unfortunately don't count for NSFL so overrated bums like Bills QB get ratings inflated.

Sometimes feels like folks put too much emphasis on quantifying value of individual stats and ignoring the overall unit.

Yeah I typically attribute a superstar stat line to a sub par surrounding unit.

Outliers are obvious, but a good individual player playing at a great level is worrisome

I asked chatgpt to read the draft thread and rank the rosters so far

Based on the NSFL Season 28 draft and team rosters, here is a ranking of the fictional teams from best to worst:

### Top Teams
1. **Cincinnati Buffleheads**: They have a strong roster featuring Matthew Stafford at QB, Nico Collins as a wide receiver, and a solid offensive line with Mike McGlinchey and Ryan Ramczyk. Their defense is also formidable with players like Xavier McKinney【15†source】【17†source】.
2. **Reykjavík Direwolves**: They boast a balanced team with Chris Godwin at wide receiver, Rasul Douglas at cornerback, and Josh Sweat on the defensive line【15†source】【17†source】.
3. **Tokyo Shoguns**: With key players like Diontae Johnson and Kolton Miller, the Shoguns have a strong offense. Their defense is solidified by Dre Greenlaw at linebacker【15†source】【16†source】.

### Mid-tier Teams
4. **Anchorage Quill Pigs**: Featuring Jordan Davis on the defensive line and Geno Smith at quarterback, the Quill Pigs have a balanced roster【15†source】【16†source】.
5. **Hanoi Viet Kongs**: They have strong picks like D.J. Reed at cornerback and Alvin Kamara at running back, bolstering both their defense and offense【15†source】【17†source】.
6. **Phoenix Rubber Ducks**: With Taliese Fuaga and Leonard Floyd, they have a strong offensive line and defensive end combination【15†source】【17†source】.

### Lower-tier Teams
7. **Wattsville Waste Walruses**: Featuring Odell Beckham Jr. and solid offensive tackles like D.J. Humphries and Donovan Smith, they have a competent but not outstanding roster【16†source】【17†source】.
8. **Lake Minnewanka Ice Orcas**: With Geno Smith at quarterback and Za'Darius Smith on defense, they are solid but lack depth in key positions【15†source】【16†source】.
9. **Rio de Janeiro Pirates**: Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Jadeveon Clowney are notable players, but overall team strength is moderate【15†source】【17†source】.
10. **Hamilton Hornets**: They have key players like Aaron Jones at running back and Geno Stone in the secondary, but their overall roster depth is limited【15†source】【17†source】.

### Bottom Teams
11. **Little Rock Uni Royals**: With players like Matt Milano and Joel Bitonio, they have some strong individual talents but lack overall depth【15†source】【17†source】.
12. **Tombstone Outlaws**: Despite having players like Zach Sieler and Byron Murphy II, their roster lacks star power and depth【15†source】【17†source】.
13. **Burlington Sock Puppets**: With Tyler Lockett and Dallas Turner, they have some good players but lack a strong supporting cast【15†source】【16†source】.
14. **New Zealand Blobfish**: Featuring Cameron Jordan and Kenneth Walker III, they have a solid defense but lack offensive firepower【15†source】【16†source】.
15. **Lancaster Fighting Amish**: Their key players include Kenneth Walker III and Laiatu Latu, but they lack depth in other areas【15†source】【16†source】.
16. **Okoboji Ents**: With Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and other mid-level players, their roster is unremarkable【15†source】【16†source】.
17. **Egypt Starfalls**: Featuring Kyle Pitts and James Cook, they have potential but lack consistency in other positions【15†source】【16†source】.
18. **Freiburg Venom**: Despite having Trent Brown and Jerry Jeudy, their overall team strength is low【15†source】【17†source】.
19. **Indianapolis Predators**: They have some good players like Tyron Smith and Ryan Ramczyk but are weak in other key areas【15†source】【17†source】.
20. **Cambridge Camelot**: They have the weakest roster with a lack of standout players and depth【15†source】【16†source】【17†source】.

This ranking is based on the overall balance of offense and defense, depth of the roster, and the presence of star players.

Here are some of the best draft picks from the NSFL Season 28 draft:

### Top Draft Picks

1. **Matthew Stafford (Cincinnati Buffleheads)**: Adding a veteran quarterback like Stafford gives the Buffleheads a strong leader and a proven playmaker, crucial for any team aiming for success【15†source】【17†source】.

2. **Chris Godwin (Reykjavík Direwolves)**: Godwin's addition provides a reliable and explosive option at wide receiver, boosting the Direwolves' passing game significantly【15†source】【17†source】.

3. **Dre Greenlaw (Tokyo Shoguns)**: Greenlaw is a top-tier linebacker who enhances the Shoguns' defensive unit with his tackling ability and coverage skills【16†source】.

4. **Leonard Floyd (Phoenix Rubber Ducks)**: Floyd strengthens the Rubber Ducks' pass rush, making their defense more formidable against opposing quarterbacks【15†source】【17†source】.

5. **Jordan Davis (Anchorage Quill Pigs)**: Davis is a strong presence on the defensive line, significantly improving the Quill Pigs' ability to stop the run【15†source】【16†source】.

6. **Odell Beckham Jr. (Wattsville Waste Walruses)**: Beckham provides an experienced and talented option at wide receiver, enhancing the Walruses' offensive capabilities【16†source】【17†source】.

7. **Nico Collins (Cincinnati Buffleheads)**: Collins adds depth and talent to the Buffleheads' receiving corps, complementing their passing game well【15†source】【17†source】.

8. **Taliese Fuaga (Phoenix Rubber Ducks)**: Fuaga strengthens the offensive line, providing better protection for the quarterback and opening up running lanes【17†source】.

### Honorable Mentions

- **Alvin Kamara (Hanoi Viet Kongs)**: Kamara is a versatile running back who can contribute both in the running game and as a receiver out of the backfield, making him a valuable addition【15†source】【17†source】.
- **David Bakhtiari (Hanoi Viet Kongs)**: An elite offensive tackle, Bakhtiari ensures better protection for the quarterback and improves the overall offensive line performance【15†source】【17†source】.
- **Xavier McKinney (Cincinnati Buffleheads)**: McKinney is a top safety who boosts the Buffleheads' secondary with his coverage skills and ability to make plays on the ball【15†source】【17†source】.

These players are not only talented but also fit well into their respective teams' needs, making them some of the best draft picks this season.

Worst draft picks?

### Worst Draft Picks

1. **Duane Brown (Burlington Sock Puppets)**: At this stage in his career, Duane Brown is past his prime. While he brings experience, his performance has been declining, making him a questionable pick when younger, more effective options were available【15†source】【17†source】.

2. **Jordan Hicks (Burlington Sock Puppets)**: Similar to Duane Brown, Jordan Hicks is an aging linebacker whose best years are likely behind him. There were more impactful and younger defensive players available in the draft【17†source】.

3. **Garett Bolles (Wattsville Waste Walruses)**: Although Garett Bolles is a competent offensive tackle, the Waste Walruses already had decent offensive line depth. Picking Bolles over a more impactful skill position player could be seen as a missed opportunity【16†source】.

4. **Zach Sieler (Tombstone Outlaws)**: Sieler is a solid player, but he doesn’t provide the star power or game-changing ability that other available players could have brought to the team. His selection is not necessarily bad but is underwhelming given the context【15†source】【17†source】.

5. **Boye Mafe (Cambridge Camelot)**: Mafe has potential but is still a developing player. Drafting him high without more proven talent to support him could mean he won't be as effective as expected immediately【17†source】.

6. **Drew Dalman (Reykjavík Direwolves)**: While a solid center, Drew Dalman was picked a bit early considering the availability of higher-impact players at other positions. The Direwolves may have benefited more from a player who could immediately change the dynamic of their team【17†source】.

These picks are considered suboptimal either due to the players' declining performance, positional redundancy, or the availability of more impactful options during the draft【15†source】【17†source】.

I maybe a homer. But I feel like my team is stacked offensively. Jameson had 800+ last year. I also bolster 2 really good RBs to take pressure off the QB. Pitts has had monster rookie year and his attributes are ridiculously good(I don’t think chat takes that into account). He’s fast, big and athletic. But Damm ok I respect it.
