SotanKing
Defense deserves like 95% of the credit for winning this game, 10% for offense and -5% for special teams
vike daddy
The Jets were able to drive to the Vikings’ 26-yard line before the ill-fated pass to Williams. It was the third interception of the day for Rodgers, who was also sacked three times and hit 11 times over the course of the afternoon. He appeared to hurt his knee on one of those hits, but did not miss a snap. Darnold had a rough day against the team that drafted him and might have seen a ghost or two while going 14-of-31 for 179 yards and an interception. He did find Jefferson six times for 92 yards, including that key late completion that forced the Jets to go for a touchdown on their final possession. The Vikings are now 5-0 and they’ll have a bye week to rest up before continuing their push for the NFC North crown. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/vikings-hold-on-for-23-17-win-over-jets-in-london

SotanKing
One thing that was good to see was Darnold having that FG drive at the end after having bad couple of qtrs
Robb_K
Lucky win, but our Defdence and Will Reichard played well. We saw how important Aaron Jones is to this team. Good thing we have the break now, for him to recover and Hockenson to return to provide a sure short target for Darnold. With Jones back, and Hockenson added, and still having Jefferson and Addison and Nailor as targets, SOMEONE should almost always be open.
SotanKing
Its actually incredible that this team is entering bye week 5-0...they played lot of tough teams and tough defenses during this stretch. After the game vs Lions next, schedule is lot more easier for rest of the way

Robb_K
15 minutes ago, SteelKing728 said: If JJ McCarthy was playing this game wouldn't have been close. I said what I said. YES! I think this game showed everyone that Darnold shouldn't even be signed to a 2-year bridge QB - easy out after year 1 contract to ease McCarthy in at the start of next season, in case he's not ready right away. McCarthy would be better right away, just based on the little of him we saw. Darnold showed that he caves under pressure. He hardly was able to set his feet correctly on ANY plays this game (maybe only 2-3 passes). He also made several bad decisions that weren't necessary, and could easily have been avoided. He'll probably lead The Vikings to a Wild Card place, and maybe one playoff win; but re-signing him even for a 4-5 game bridge and hedge next season would be a mistake. Let J.J. soak up knowledge and practise his new footwork this season, and let him come in strong and learn from experience starting first game next season, after a great Camp and pre-season. I'm confident he can be an excellent top-5 QB in The NFL for 15-17 years for The Vikings.
vike daddy
given that in this still frame Gilmore has just caught the ball while sitting on his butt, what did Rodgers expect his receiver to have done? even if he was expecting him to cut in and away from the sideline (where a safer pass could have been thrown) the ball would be at his ankles. knees, at best. bad pass, Aaron. bad pass.
Captain Relax
This game reminds of the Vikings team between Joe Kapp leaving and Tarkenton returning when if the defense didn't score, the Vikings were not winning the game. So, thank Odin for AVG'S Pick six! It's nice to see that the Vikings can win when. The offense isn't playing well!! The bye comes at exactly the right time. Rodgers was throwing a back shoulder throw, but he clearly missed.
