Titans Head Coaching Search 2018

Here's another good article... This one from the Indy Star, as they seem to think the Colts' job is between McDaniels and Vrabel. They do a pros and cons for both.

A boss I had a while back once told me, you're only weakness is your age and inexperience, and time will take care of that. That seems to be Vrabel's only serious knock. I'm getting hyped about the potential candidates and possibilities.

Just read that one.  Good stuff.

I really am leaning toward Vrabel.

here's the problem i have with vrabel: he has one season as a defensive coordinator. the texans were worst in the league in points per game allowed!!! i just don't understand how that resume convinces anyone he's HC material. sure he can talk the talk, but can he walk the walk?

Well whoever we make HC three great things happened today:

1) Robiskie and Mularkey will no longer stunt the growth of Marcus and the performance of the offense as a whole.

2) J-Rob finally has full control

3) AAS will do whatever is best for the franchise

Given my trust for J-Rob and now Amy, I believe that whoever we bring in next will take us to the next level. Today is a win-win in all respects because whoever we hire cannot do worse than what would have happened next season with Robiskie calling the shots on offense. 2018 was doomed if things stood as constructed in 2017. Win-win situation fellas. We got playoff experience, a playoff victory under out belts, a great strong nucleus of Mariota, Lewan, Conklin, Davis (can't wait to see him break out next year - that game against NE showed what he can do), Byard, and Jackson, to go along with tons of cap room to work with this offseason. If we're honest with ourselves, this year could not have gone any better. 2018 is going to be an exciting year to be a Titans fan.

Most will blame the Texans injuries for the reason their defense sucked this year.

He's a candidate not because of his success but because of his leadership, toughness and attitude. I would almost rather have a guy like that that's a true leader and motivator than a guy like McDaniels who is a glorified Offensive coordinator who will spend very little time on defense.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards this side of the Vrabel fence myself.

I get having a guy who can lead the team and instill his own tough minded personality, but at some point we have to consider X's and O'x, too. And having an offensive specialist who has proven he can gameplan around different opponents week to week sounds really really nice after the abomination we just witnessed for the vast majority of the 18 games we played this year.

^^ These are the qualities stated by JRob that he is searching for in a replacement

all of those things are literally what articles are saying about Vrabel lol. Leader, detailed, tough, dependable, team first.
