NY Post:

The Chiefs want to make “the right” decision regarding Tyreek Hill. That’s what general manager Brett Veach told reporters after his team announced they had suspended the wide receiver, saying Hill will not take part in any team activities “for the foreseeable future” after an 11-minute audio clip become pubic Thursday, in which it’s asserted Hill and his fiancée Crystal Espinal discuss the alleged beatings surrounding their 3-year-old son.

“Earlier this evening we were made aware of the audio between Tyreek and Crystal,” Veach, who did not take questions, said in a statement. “We were deeply disturbed by what we heard and are deeply concerned. … Our main focus, main concern is with the young child.”

Espinal can reportedly be heard on the record, saying Hill’s son is “terrified” of him.

“You need to be terrified of me too, *****,” the 25-year-old Hill allegedly says on the recording. “That’s why you can’t keep a f–king man.”

He avoided charges Wednesday in Kansas after being reported for a domestic incident that reportedly left his son with a broken arm.

NFL . Com:

Joe Theismann played 12 seasons for the Washington Redskins wearing No. 7. The quarterback won Super Bowl XVII sporting the number. None have donned it since his retirement in 1985. Might the Redskins bring the number back for first-round pick Dwayne Haskins, who wore No. 7 in college at Ohio State?

"It's what's inside the jersey that makes a big difference," Theismann said. "I've been very honored to the Washington Redskins have not have it issued to anyone over 30-plus years, and this is the first 7 that we've had come along, I think. So I really wanna sit down and have a visit with him and talk to him about it and then we'll sort of decide going forward."

Question - Could Theisman have some commercial interest in the #7? Either in conjuction with the NFL thru some licensing deal - or on his own - sayyyyyyyy a restaurant chain called #7 (or something....) - he sells coffee mugs emblazoned with: Joey T #7.....

Could Theisman "extort" a lump sum payment from Haskins (?) or enter in to some long term % deal where he gets a slice of any revenue Haskins derives from the number?

Borderline far fetched ideas here.....so feel free to squash them like a bug if they deserve it. Just wondering if such....commercial arrangements can exist for retired players and their jersey number.

Reporter to new Cards Coach Kliff Klingsbury: Do you see Kyler Murray as the Day 1 starter ?

Kingsbury: “We’ll see. We’re still working through all those things,” Kingsbury said. “We have Brett Hundley here who we’re very excited about, but we’ll see where that kinda goes.”

Hundley probably swallowed his chewing gum and almost choked when he heard that one :)

Missed opportunity here.

Meh, don't see any snaps for him unless you're benching Blake. You're going to want Burks or Jones playing over him on 3rd down. Did he really want to sign here for the fraction of the snaps we play two ILB base?

Martinez's biggest problem is that he plays too many snaps. Lets not act like Brown isnt as good as him in just about every facet of the game, maybe better in some. Would have been the final touch on a rebuilt defense IMO.

Why would a guy in Browns spot want to sign here and split snaps with Martinez? At his age, his only chance to keep getting contracts is to keep starting.

Who does he have a better chance of beating, Blake or LJ Fort?

Zach Brown. Connor Barwin. Tre Boston. Hall of GB free agency never where's.

I've wanted Zach Brown for the last 4 years lol. Every year he's available. Every year we pass. Every year he's solid. Rinse, repeat.
