I think they finally came to the conclusion that they don't feel comfortable running the team how it should be run, without significant consideration to it being a business. Yes, it is a business, but if you want to run a sports franchise, you can't let the "business" aspect of it be your priority, which it has been for them. You have to be willing to take a loss (under the current structure) in order to achieve the ultimate goal. They just can't ever let themselves do that. That's fine...then you need to get out. Lynx with the 4 point play with 5 seconds left to take their first lead of the game followed by foul with less than a second to go, but their best player misses a free throw so the game goes to overtime.
