If it ends up being Patriots-Eagles...

Also, people are talking about what Billy's gonna draw up on D, but how about what Doug's gonna draw up on the O?

Doug's play designs/schemes and playcalling have been amazing this year.  Every week, he's been installing new plays, and he's been getting very creative.  I mean Everson Griffen didn't even touch Foles all game against a BACKUP LT, who was ranked like #72.  I mean he had Mack Hollins be the whammer on him on the Blount TD that put him 1 on1 on Sandejo, where all saw Blount just run the guy over.   Nelson Agholor aka The Phoenix get a run inside to the out in a creative misdirection that surprised the Falcons for 20 yard gain.

Stop trolling. The Patriots have had the #1 scoring defense since week 6.

They're all about scheme.

It's to the point where basically put ANYONE in a Patriots uniform and they're magically great.

Basically, Patricia can plug any random doofuses and they're great

And it's absolutely amazing.

It's not just Patricia, either. Romeo Crennel, and Dan Pees were also able to do the same thing. Also, Belichick was the DC for quite a few years as well. The only DC failure they had was Eric Mangini and he only lasted one year.

*LOL @ doofuses. Don't let that bias blind you.

Belichick was on that parcells staff. He knows what foles is gonna bring. He is familiar with their situation

Its gonna come down to execution and adjustments.  The Eagles are being very underrated by you in this department as they have been successful all year.

At least with Crennel, he had real defensive horses.

Van Noy will never be confused with Bruschi/Law/Harrison/Seymour.

It's not a good defense though. They have little playmaking ability, a weak pass rush and can't get off the field on third down. They're nowhere near as good as the numbers suggest. They've been lucky to face a lot of mediocre offenses or one dimensional offenses. They'll give up 24-30 to the Eagles unless Foles reverts to the bad version of himself. I don't think any rational Pats fan would disagree.

All year long, the D has given up yards and points in the first half of the game and puts the offense in a hole. Eventually, they'll come across a team that doesn't allow them to make a late comeback. Philadelphia feels like that team given the depth of weapons on offense and their relentless pass rush.

Also, NE's punter (Ryan Allen) was the MVP of the second half. He forced Jacksonville to start at their own 10 at least three times.

They made Bortles look good. Bortles is average at best.

The Steelers made Bortles look like Dan Marino and Aaron Rodgers love child who was raised by Tom Brady. He also dominated Baltimore and went on a run late in the season. Maybe it's better to call him streaky than average. And not for nothing, the Patriots didn't really respect Bortles, they sold out to stop the run. Most of Bortles success came off designed play actions as a result. In big moments, they didn't want the ball in the Bortles hands and that made a big difference in the outcome
