Wheres he playing? He cant play centerfield well. He tackles worse than Heath Hes a good player, but he has no defined role. Or how about for a guy we would take off the field on third down to play a true deep half safety? Look, hes good. And he will play well for several more years at rhe least. But here he isnt a fit. He would not upgrade anything, he would only create a bigger problem. He does several things well..but does nothing at an exceptional enough level where you can definitively say, ok, that answers that. Liability tackling, so doesnt upgrade Heath as a robber. Not good enough in space coverage to replace Byron or whomever else at midfield or even cover 2 safety. And his TE/slot coverage is not a huge gap from what we have seen from Jones and Woods, even Scandrick when he plays the slot. Youd bw throwing away cap space at a name. Thats it. Back when Jerry paid as many overpriced names as he could, people like you said he didnt care about winning, just signing guys people will spend money to watch pay. Now he doesnt overpay for mediocrity every year, and you all still complain I am convinced this is the worst fanbase of any sport of any team in the entire world. And...you do realize..this team signed the top FA pass rusher last week right? To a 14mil contract called a franchise tag, and another top DL FA for another 2 and a half mil?
