I agree.  Gotta respect their aggression and the fact they understand their window.  We haven't seen this sort of quality aggression from the Packers since Ron Wolf which a reason why this current tenured coaching staff and front office has made it to just one single Super Bowl.  Unfortunately with Minnesota moving leaps and bounds in front of us, another Super bowl appearance for AR12 is looking  pretty grim.  This team has a plethora of significant holes that we simply aren't going to fix with drafts and only drafts (IMO unless we have one of the most successful drafts in GBP history).  Time to make some moves or we're going to again find ourselves competing with Chicago for the bottom of the NFCN instead of Minnesota at the top.

Minnesota isn't just better right now, their significantly better.  Richardson in a bonafied star and they just upgraded from a career back up QB who was utterly terrible in every location but Minnesota to a guy who played at a pro bowl level with some of the worst weapons in the NFL.  Gotta imagine that Cousins is going to have a career year with the nasty weapons Minnesota has on offense.  Gotta hope for a Eagles Super team type of implosion at this point.

This...I think we have peaked...

Agreed. But I'd say the gap at QB between Rodgers and Cousins (who I like) is still as considerable as the the talent gap vs the teams Secondaries. That's  pretty important.

Let's not forget FA and the draft aren't over either. Lotta ballgame left.

That's a stretch that we don't have a aCB on the roster who's shown that he's capable if being a consistant starter.  While we're hoping for huge things from King, he's still just a sophmore that was very up and down last year.  Behind him is a bunch of guys who wouldn't make most rosters in the NFL.

While Cousins isn't AR12, he was still a quality QB despite having little to no legit weapons.  He's walking into a team who's got arguably the best set of skill position players in the league when looking at their young stud RB, pro bowl caliber TE and dynamic set of 1000 yard WRs.  He had over 4K yards and 27 TDs last year with arguably the 2 or 3 worst set of skill position players in the NFL.

too much to make up in one offseason barring some insane luck where GB hits on a ton of stuff

On paper, sure but weird stuff happens all the time. That Eagles dream team flopped, guys get hurt, don't gel well. We'll see. They've clearly widened the gap on paper.

Season's over march 16th, fellas. Wrap it up, we're onto 2019.

An argument of a man who has nothing to disagree with. Just throw out a blanket statement that no one actually said because you can't fight the actual logic of the posts.

The Packers are not as talented as Minnesota right now and have some clear catch-up to do. If they don't it will take some luck on our end and some misfortune on their end.

So like if King, Adams, Jones, and the Riegel Biegel develop into to be players they were drafted to be? If Wilkerson and Graham earn the money they were paid? Some high 2018 draft picks are not horrible players? that kind of "insane stuff"?

No one is saying that but its ridiculous to believe we're on the same level as Minnesota right now.  We're better at QB  and that is the ONLY place.

On paper.  The vikes were incredibly healthy on defense last year.  That's lucky.  Their healthy defense played a rookie QB twice and fed on our own Hundley twice.  They absolutely got their *** handed to them when it counted and needed a miracle to get to that point.

They will come back to the pack a little.  Cousins will be fortunate to have a year like Keenum just put in.

Yes, pretty much the stuff we've waited on since 2010 to happen and hasn't yet, needs to happen.

Every year we count on the year 2 jump and the rookies coming in to play well. Our plan B if that doesn't work has been an even younger and less touted player giving it a go.

Ray, the only facts here are that 2018 hasn't happened yet and that 2017 won't be the same as 2018, for better or worse

Has cousins even had a better year in his career than keenum did last year?

One, in 2015. They went 13-3 this year, you don't need any better QB play then what they had with that defense. They locked themselves into 3 more years of it.
