Read the OP in this thread.  What you're looking for is under Contract Management.  If anything is confusing ask here.

So for resigning a player under the 3 up rule.  So for example Mike Evans is on his last year in BDL.  He signed a 5 year ext. irl worth 82.5 million.  So to resign him I'd need to fork out the following?

Year Cap Number 85% of Cap Number
2018 $18,258,000 $15,519,300
2019 $20,000,000 $17,000,000
2020 $16,750,000 $14,237,500
2021 $12,250,000 $10,412,500
2022 $14,000,000 $11,900,000
2023 $14,500,000 $12,325,000

or is it the total contract amount 82.5 million at 85% = 70.125M divided by the irl length in this case 5, making the yearly cap hit 14.025M per year?

Probably a much easier way to ask this, sorry...haha.

3 Ups are now 75%

Mike Evans signed a 5 year deal for 82.5 million or 16.5 million/yr

(16500)(.75) = $12375/yr

So a 3up on Mike Evans would be 5yrs/61,875 ($12,375/yr)

Without broadcasting the decisions for next year, we've got players on the roster, that really have no business being on the roster.  We've also got a dozen first round picks next year, so I don't foresee the cap being an issue, but I haven't completely broke it down.

Nonetheless, I'm comfortable with adding to this defense now rather than later.  Not sure if you're aware but our Edge has generated one sack, (Tyrone Crawford against a horrible Giants offensive line).

If this is my team, then I'd like the ability to make this trade.

You do you man. I'm  off the team, just trying to help you in situations like this advising a new person on value on trades, like how this is a really bad trade. The trade committee can decide if its good or not.

That's not really helping me out.  Now I'm not trying to stir this up again but this team needs defensive line help, and just happen to be stacked at QB.

Can we all please stop trying to influence the committees decision.

The committee can only rule if the trade disrupts the competitive balance of the league, not if its trade rape.  There are multiple factors involved, so it is a subjective ruling for sure.  My opinion, with no skin in the game, is that you don't know positional/cap value to no fault of your own.  Friendly advice, look at how many effective edge rushers on league rosters and compare to how many effective QBs are on rosters.

I guess there will be no more creativity among game plans

I've lost 2 games out of my last 25. One of them was with 4OL.

You might still win and it's certainly going to be close. Any other team and you would've had a great chance.

I get that, unfortunately for Orlando we've got the short hand in terms of Edge, at least until Bosa comes back, and I'm sitting on two young qb's that aren't helping my roster at all.

I know the value of quarterback is greater, the franchise tag values will tell you this.  However, on defense the Edge rushers carry a lot of value too.
