thebestever6
At the surface I think the niners got it right than I go on Sportrac and they dp market value. Jimmy G has a value of 18 mill Keenum who was a one hit wonder and is older has a market value of 21 mill . My question is why?
Soko
Because sportrac is in no way indicative of what actual NFL players are being valued at.
Malfatron
Jimmy VG is a phenom. Case is a case of being in the right place at the right time. As to your question, I don't know,
jrry32
Spotrac bases its valuations on statistics finding a comparison to other contracts. Case had better stats than Jimmy G in 2017.

They aren't taking variables like "one year wonder" into play, or that jimmy g went 5-0 with a team that may not have managed to win 2 games had he not started the last two. Danger
Sportac isn't good at projections for players with a small sample size e.g. Dak Prescott and Jimmy Garroppolo

TENINCH
So no more hits for him? He just turned 30. Probably has a few hits left.

He’s been a one hit wonder to this point. That isn’t even arguable. Can he add more hit years? Sure but conventional logic says Keenum had a career year and will fall back down to earth. It’s up to him to prove that wrong.

Even if he regresses he's still going to put up decent numbers. I think he's going to be alright with either team.
