beekay414
Evan Flood was the expert that switched his CB on Friday. He's connected with Wisconsin HS athletics. Edited April 10, 2021 by beekay414

Enjoy playing on ESPN 8: The Ocho, Duke is going banner hunting next season. Hopefully Matthew Hurt returns to school, likely ACC POY. NYRaider
PBJ family hates him if they allow him to go to UWM instead of the G-League.

If Matthew Hurt returns to school I really like our team next season. G - Jeremy Roach G - Trevor Keels F - AJ Griffin Jr F - Matthew Hurt F - Paolo Banchero w/ Wendell Moore, Mark Williams, and Joey Baker off the bench. NYRaider
But in reality @beekay414 would you rather your son play for you at a mid-major or make $500k?

When he's going to make a **** ton of money regardless, and he comes from a background where his dad pulls that annually, money isn't the driving factor. Not everything is about money. He's not a raw player whatsoever. And...again...not everything is about money. I don't know why that's so difficult for you to accept. So again, do you think that playing at UW-Milwaukee for his dad against mid-major competition at practice and in games for a season benefits him more than playing in the G-League or at Duke? In the G-League he'd be practicing/playing with NBA players and coaches. At Duke he'd be practicing/playing with NBA players for the GOAT college coach. His dad has never coached an NBA player, hell he has never made an NCAA Tournament or even had a winning season at UW-Milwaukee. He's 47-70 as the coach there and the program has been the definition of mediocrity since he took over. In reality his dad is probably begging him to come play there so he doesn't get fired because if PBJ goes to Duke, PBS is probably getting fired after next season. Shows me what you know about UWM with the last comment. PBS isn't in any jeopardy. And it's one year. He's going to be a lottery pick either way and, again, he's not some raw prospect. He's already a highly skilled player with an advanced skillset, that one year isn't going to hurt him. If he's close to his dad and has always wanted to play for him, then that's his prerogative. Who the hell are we to tell him otherwise?

How many coaches can have 5 consecutive losing seasons both overall and in conference play and keep their job? They went 16-17 in 2017, 9-22 in 2018, 12-19 in 2019, and 10-12 in 2020. Unless the university is committed to having a mediocre program. If he goes to UW-Milwaukee I'll give him some kudos. Takes a lot to sacrifice playing on ESPN and becoming a household name to save your dad from unemployment, he's a good kid.

He's not at risk due to the financial fallout that comes with firing coaches and he's dealt with a **** ton of limitations from the AD. Injuries have been huge for the team too. Again, PBS isn't at any risk of getting fired due to the situation he's in. I know you can google his overall record but at least know the details behind the situation before laying down some snarky comment.
