Yeah I have to think Gutey and Ball are privy to some other information or did something sneaky here bc I can’t believe they think they can just straight up sign him from the bears without being matched. It hurts the bears because it freezes them until they figure out all the details. *edit: plus I don’t think Gute and them do this unless they feel good about the Bears not matching. Like it has to be better then a 50-50 shot. Otherwise it’s just literally forcing Chicago to play slightly more. I mean it’s not even over paying given the FA period.
