Possibly. He seems to e finding his run/pass groove. Still gets to cute on some play calls. To many empty sets, etc. And in his defense, we can criticize  play calling all day, but some of it comes down to execution. To many dropped passes as a team. Carr's regressed some. Oline hasn't been as strong. Penn's age and holdout slowed him down.

You could make the argument under Musgrave, it could be the same result. Teams don't often dominate year over year. There are always differences season to season.

I don’t think teams “dominate” but good teams like the Seahawks, Patriots, Steelers, Packers are competitive year in and out (injuries permitting) many here believed that the Raiders could make the jump to competitive and this year has been a letdown. Of course if the team does finish 10-6 (unlikely) that would be considered a win but this team for half the season has been pretty uninspired. Fans should be upset with that because they should be good for a few years if they are a legitimate contender.

We put Obi on IR today after surgery to fix a hip issue. Hamilton takes his spot on the 53.

Conley and Obi playing so little has really hurt the secondary this year. Hopefully they get healthy and make a real contribution next year.

I can't grasp why he wasn't promoted to our 53.  We had instances where we only had 3 CBs healthy.  He must have either really been trash in practice or...

They had more than enough time to eval and watch him so it was something. Maybe we'll get to see him on the field for Buf and see something though it will mean little in respect to what the Raiders would have done with him.
