Aaron Rodgers is never going to throw "50-50" balls.

I consider "50-50 balls" a throw when the WR is covered. Rodgers has been throwing those for the last 6 years because our WRs struggle to get separation and MMs scheme doesnt help. Look at James Jones, he made a living off catching 50-50 balls from ARod. We literally talk about this issue every season.

Jordy was fantastic at that...

He used to be no argument there. Think he stuggled in that area last year even with Rodgers. Again, remember that Jordy is 32 and Dez is 29, that's a BIG difference in terms of the life of an NFL wide receiver. We aren't comparing Jordy at 29 vs Dez at 29.

I just typed a huge thing and it went away.

I haven't seen that much evidence that one is breaking down faster other than the use of age as the gauge. Dez has signs of slowing too. Just as much maybe even

Physically ability isn't the #1 trait for Packers WR. If it was, Janis would play over Allison. Dez has never been a good route runner but because of pure physical ability he could generally be successful running what he's good at. That is not something good for Green Bay. This is why Dez game doesn't age like Jordys could.

I think he's better equipped for it though as a bigger more physical WR. Just my two cents.

Also throwing to covered WR isn't 50-50 balls. That term means jump and fight for it in the air. Most WRs are covered but because Rodgers is precise that window is tiny. Part of that precision however requires the WRs to be precise. Dez never has been or will be.

He's more equipped to go up over and through people for footballs. I totally agree. I don't think Rodgers throws those balls often enough to matter. Unless he's gonna change for him.

Have you seen the vid the Boyz fan put out which was posted on page 3? I think it demystifies the idea that Dez is a limited route runner who is just a jump ball specialist.

Edit: assumed it was highlights.

I'll take a look later. I don't think people know what is meant when you say they can't run the whole tree though. Everyone in the NFL can run every route... Can you do it consistently and accurately over and over. You can certainly find him running every route and getting open after 100 games in the NFL...

Here lemme post Tebow highlights, just a sec.

I've seen enough Dez Bryant in my life all that way since OkState. No highlight tape is gonna make me forget all that.

Not a highlight reel. Just an evolution of his play and what he has done with Dak. It reminds of what Jordy was with Hundley
