Who knows. If i had a guess he wont fight anyone relevant for awhile and they are going to feed him slowly.

I know he is in better shape than most HWs but he is 30 already. Thats pretty much his prime years. If he fights scrubs for the next 2-3 years assuming he fights 2-3 fights a year, the window of cashing in could close sooner than they’d like

Smith is a long way off Jones' level, but he's got as good of a case for the shot as anyone at LHW, so you can't argue with the matchup. I'll be rooting for him, but I see incredibly little chance he can pull it off.

Still think Santos or Blachowicz are the only two right now who have a hope (albeit small) of pulling an upset over Jones.

Why do you think Jan has even a small chance? I could see Santos yea but Jan?

Also does anyone give Rockhold or Weidman a remote chance vs Bones?

I'll give anyone a chance because it's MMA but Jones will be a massive favorite no matter who he faces sans DC.

Jan's got elite level grappling and crazy strength, so there's a minute chance he could grab a hold of Jones and make something happen. Obv far from likely, but he's got an area in which he's high level, unlike Smith.

think Rockhold and Weidman have a higher chance than anyone at LHW now, but I still struggle to see either guy beating Jones. Rockhold's shown glaring deficiencies in striking defense, and is also used to having a size advantage, which he won't have against Jones. and Weidman's been struggling for a while, and also slows down as the fight goes on, while Jones just gets better (although that may not be the case for Weidman at 205, who knows).
