If there was a blueprint to beating Khabib, I'd say Poirier isn't far off. Power, the length to be able to hurt Khabib from distance, and good enough in grappling transitions to not get taken down and control instantly. Conor actually fits a lot of that mold as well, but I think he messed up strategically in their fight. No one's going to beat Khabib on the ground, and guys who like to fight inside are going to have a bad time against him as well. The only exception might be Tony, who is crazy enough to be able to win the fight from anywhere. Buckrock101 Posted June 9, 2019 Share Posted June 9, 2019 I have a feeling going forward that it's going to be crazy thinking about how Calvin Kattar and Shane Burgos fought each other so early in their UFC careers. They are the two most underrated prospects in the Featherweight division right now, both just beat high-level gatekeepers convincingly.
