Redskins Make National Headlines

Recommended Posts

This is all I've been able to find so far in regards to some cheerleaders refuting the story.

"News4 contacted several former Redskins cheerleaders who were with the team in 2013. Two of them, who did not want to be identified, said the events described in the Times story were exaggerated and that the experience described in the story was not recognizable to them.

Another former cheerleader, Charo Bishop, tweeted "#fakenews" with a link to the Times story."

From https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/Redskins-Cheerleaders-Forced-to-Escort-Men-to-Costa-Rica-Nightclub-Report-481536961.html

Without further details this doesn't mean anything to me. One person tweeting #fakenews could have been paid off by the team to do that for all anybody knows, and that's still one person's word against 5.

The other two haven't provided enough context to make it seem like anything other than them saying they didn't feel uncomfortable, and/or maybe weren't the ones forced to go to the nightclub.

Of course ...

@e16bball - I don't think it likes "mobile.twitter.com" ... delete the "mobile." from the URL. If it doesn't autoload then, cut the link and then paste it again.

@e16bballIt works. Twitter changed their format a month or so ago.

You have to go down and find the thing to click on where you can share a tweet either via text, Facebook etc. If you get to that, you can copy the tweet and then post it in here and it uploads it.

Just copying the web address doesn’t work. I have no clue why it doesn’t work, that’s abovd my pay grade.

Works just fine. Where it may not is if the url is mobile.twitter

For instance, if I post:

https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/992014304324055040 (obviously I told it to post this first one as plain text, and the following one to render)

it works just fine. If I post

https://mobile.twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/992014304324055040

it no likey. I'll mention to Webby and see if there is something that can be done.

Ok, I’ve just always done it the other way since Mknight explained it to me.

Trust me. I'm all about doing the least amount of work for posting links. :D

Her logic in that is so bad that I know she only said that stuff on purpose to incite anger so her name gets brought up. It also appeals to the demographic of her new audience I guess.

From the Article

Please tell me this is a joke?

Nope.

Keep in mind: guys like Stephen A. Smith and Colin Cowherd have created (highly lucrative) careers for themselves based on making horrifically bad hot takes ... excuse me ... contrarian takes, so why are we surprised when other up and coming folks try to emulate them?

Because I try to erase that man's existence from my mind.

*sighs*

Where's my mental bleach? Yet another cleanup to deal with ...
