2018 Draft Eligible WR Thread

DJ Chark looked a lot faster than I thought he was. I still don't think he goes before round 4, but he impressed me. He has long speed as well as great height. He is built like a twig though and doesn't high point the way I'd expect a 6'3 guy to high point. He's an intriguing deep threat that will excel running linear routes as an outside WR.

Tough to evaluate a guy who had a turd's abortion throwing him passes this year. LSU's QB play literally made me gouge my eyeballs out. I'm typing this through a mediator.

I've been beating the Chark drum for a while now. I think he can be a more well-rounded version of Ted Ginn.

James Washington looked rapid at the Senior Bowl, I’d guess a 4.40 kind of guy.

Really? I'd be shocked if he even got a 4.49. I'm guessing mid 4.5 range for Washington.

The fastest 40 times will probably be....

1. Cody Thompson (4.31)

2. Dante Pettis (4.35)

3. Christian Kirk (4.40)

4. DJ Chark (4.41)

5. Equanimeous St. Brown & Calvin Ridley (4.43)

Those are my guesses. Collectively, this isn't the speediest group in the world.

Cody Thompson isn't in this draft, he's taking a medical redshirt this year and will be in the 2019 draft

Perfect. Put St. Brown at #4 and Ridley at #5 then. Makes my list easier.

Speaking of the 2019 draft, Toledo has some STUDS at WR. Both Johnson's (JonVea & Diontae) are studs on deep balls. Cody Thompson is their 3rd best WR in my opinion. Plus watch for their RS Sophomore RB Shakif Seymour. He's going to murder people's faces next season.

Curious who ya'll think are the top 5-10 fastest WRs that are in this class

Cheers!

I'll take a stab based on what I've seen and heard.

1. Dante Pettis (Washington)

2. D.J. Chark (LSU)

3. Christian Kirk (Texas A&M)

4. James Washington (Oklahoma State)

5. Calvin Ridley (Alabama)

6. Jester Weah (Pitt)

7. Quadree Henderson (Pitt)

8. Trey Quinn (SMU)

9. Keke Coutee (Texas Tech)

10. Jordan Lasley (UCLA)

I would expect Cedrick Wilson and Deon Cain to run well also. Not even sure both (or either) Pitt guys are for sure getting Combine invites are not either. Antonio Callaway could put up a nice time if he gets invited to Indy.

Normally I can take a couple looks at a WR and have a solid idea of around what they should run... Washington is a tough read for me. I think he's going to be a 4.48 guy with a sub 7 cone.

He was running away from DB’s at the Senior Bowl, so either they’re slow or he’s faster than he looks on tape.

I still don't get the notion that James Washington didn't look fast on the field He didn't look fast any of the times he was burning people 80 yards down the field? Any of the times he quickly created a cushion between himself and the DB? I guess it doesn't matter, because he's fast, he is going to run fast at the combine, and NFL teams know that he's fast. Just confuses me that people can watch him and think that he isn't fast. Especially when we already have verifiable data on him running fast times in 100m and 200m races.

I'll go ahead and say I don't think Dante Pettis runs nearly that fast.
