Well Liverpool are potentially to going to be easily the highest point scoring runner up in Premier League history with 97 points. Whilst this is hilarious, it always shows significant progress for them to have another go next year at which point City will be aiming to win a 3rd league title in a run - something no other team has done in Premiership history besides Manchester United. We'd have no chance of winning the Champions League but the money from participating (circa £80m) buys at least 1 player for our depleted squad. Anyway, enough of me moaning about Soccer ... Ah, gotcha on the $. Learn something new every day. Imagine that in the NFL - making the playoffs gets you more cap space. AKRNA Posted April 25, 2019 Share Posted April 25, 2019 So, woke up this morning, looked out at my lake and their were 4 Trumpeter Swans out in the middle. My only caveat - never say never. If Hill weren't an elite talent, I'd agree 100 percent. But because he's an elite talent - he's likely going to get another chance, so long as he doesn't screw it up again. We just see too many repeat offenders get a second chance if there isn't prison, or a damning video. Can't stray too much into politics, so I'll leave my comments to what the football ramifications above. Let me finish by saying my statement above in no way supports Hill. It's a disgusting and horrific act that should brook zero tolerance. Sadly, talent matters. It will be at least 1 full season though before we hear Hill's name IMO. And that's fortunate for him TBH if that's the shortest duration. He certainly earned it and the sentiment it should be lifelong - but I truly doubt it will, given league history.
