Which makes sense why Euron didn’t dispose of him easily, he was extremely exhausted and probably took every ounce of energy to swing a sword. Could it have been done better? Sure. Moving your arms at all in any motion is extremely difficult after swimming miles. You don’t have to be out of breath.
